In the past, there have been great predictions made by scientists or science fiction book authors that seemed crazy in their day, but eventually came true.

Nikola Tesla predicted in 1926 the arrival of personal wireless devices that we now call "smartphones."

For example Jules Verne, who in the year 1865, wrote a story entitled "From the Earth to the Moon" where he described in detail the first trip of man to the moon. Verne was able to predict the location of the rocket launch, the name of the spacecraft, the number of astronauts on board, and the sense of weightlessness astronauts would feel on the Moon.

Another example is Nikola Tesla, who predicted in 1926 the advent of personal wireless devices that we now call "smartphones."

Today, one of the people who has been renowned for making very accurate predictions about the future of technology is Dr. Ian Pearson, a mathematician from Great Britain who has been studying the future of technology for 25 years and it carries 85% correct predictions. For example, in 1991, long before people heard the term "Email," Pearson predicted the advent of texting and also the advent of the smart glasses that Google had been working on for the past several years.

In an interview with Dr. Peterson he mentions that by the year 2050 we could see great advances in fields such as robotics, aerospace industry, artificial intelligence and among other things.

Here are some of the technological advances we can look forward to in the years to come.
