Technology in our personal and work lives is constantly growing. Understanding how people shape technology and how technology shapes people's interactions with each other and with the natural world is important not only for those who research, develop and implement new technologies, but also for all those people and organizations that have to use those technologies in their work and personal lives.

Technology serves to find more effectively, quickly and efficiently some of the

problems that occur every day in the lives of human beings. It is used to create instruments and all kinds of artifacts, utensils and knowledge that allow human beings to modify their environment and adapt to it easily.

Technology also serves us to help us take action and meet a human need rather than simply understanding how the natural world works, which is the goal of science.

Technology is not a neutral word. Different people will give it a different meaning depending on their point of view and context.
