Technological Development Department
The functions of the Technological Development Department are the following:
a) Define, coordinate and execute the technological and IT action plan that allows to comply with the strategic axes of the Undersecretariat;
b) Support and participate in the actions necessary for the success of the objectives set out in the department's action plan;
c) Support projects to improve business processes and institutional support with the introduction of information technologies in order to make them more efficient and effective;
d) Direct, coordinate and supervise, as appropriate, the incorporation of Information Technologies in the Service;
e) Explore, investigate and evaluate technological solution models that can be incorporated to improve the efficiency and / or effectiveness of the Institution;
f) Propose and apply policies that promote an adequate level of physical and logical security of technological goods and services;
g) To ensure the operational continuity and availability of the technological resources and services available to the Undersecretariat and interconnected organizations, for the adequate development of their functions;
h) Operate technological platforms for interoperability and information transfer with public institutions and telecommunications companies, providing technical support to said organizations;
i) Based on a process methodology, evaluate, propose and / or implement improvements to existing information systems in order to optimize their integration and enhance their maturation and optimization;
j) Provide technical support to internal users of the Undersecretariat in order to allow the normal development of their functions; and
k) Manage and execute the assigned budget according to the guidelines of the Technological and Information Technology Action Plan.
